I was born in Quito, Ecuador, raised in Barcelona, Spain, but I have also lived in Bogota, Colombia. At home we listened Violeta Parra, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, Los 4 del altiplano… etc.. but also Cesária Evora, The Beatles, Dulce Pontes, The chieftains.. As a child I felt that the land I was growing on was not mine, but as an adult, when I decided to move to Latin-America for a few years I also felt that I was not totally part of it.. It’s been many years using music to show this feelings, to discover myself as a mixture, a mixture of colours and flavours, rhythms and melodies. In Barcelona I promote encounters to play music from the north of Colombia (Cumbia) , also music from the pacific coast of Colombia and Ecuador (La Rueda del Pacífico) , also music from Peru, Argentina, Chile. I’ve also been part of some Ableton Live Jam sessions that DEDO has arranged here in Barcelona, like the Mutek or the Future Music Forum 2018.
